Its been 342 Years ???

Long before the inca empire rose in the andes, oxford scholars were already deep in debate beneath candlelit rafters. by the time the inca civilization began in 1438, the university of oxford had already been teaching for 342 years—its roots tracing back to 1096. while machu picchu wouldn’t grace the mountain ridges of peru for another century, oxford’s medieval lecture halls were already echoing with latin chants and theological arguments.

astonishingly, many of those original buildings still stand today, housing students in the same stone corridors that predate one of the greatest empires of the americas. two civilizations—worlds apart in geography and culture—unfolded on opposite timelines, showing how history doesn’t move in sync, but in overlapping waves of brilliance. 🎓🏔️
