Left Job to Start own business of Microgreen
In December 2020, Mohit Nijhawan left his ₹90 lakh-per-annum position as the regional head of Sanofi Genzyme to pursue microgreens farming. Motivated by personal experiences with health issues linked to dietary habits, he started small in Chandigarh with just three racks occupying a 9 sq ft area. Today, operating under the brand Greenu, his venture spans a 500 sq ft space housing 60 racks and yields a monthly turnover of ₹12 lakh, with profits around ₹4.8 lakh. Beyond cultivation, Mohit collaborates with local farmers, providing them with organic, non-GMO seeds and training them in microgreens farming to enhance their income.
