A free Floating Rogue Planet Discovered
Scientists have indeed discovered numerous rogue planets drifting freely through space, unbound to any star. These planets, often massive gas giants, challenge our understanding of planetary formation and suggest that such bodies can form directly from interstellar gas clouds. The James Webb Space Telescope has played a key role in identifying these rogue planets, including a recent discovery of six such planets drifting in the Perseus molecular cloud.
